Baby Alpaca, the luxury fibre of the Andes
We source our fibre from certified companies that have +10 years experience of sustainable breeding and sourcing of this fine wool.
Between Lima, Cusco and Arequipa, we work closely with our team of women-led artisans, who are trained to deliver international quality-products.
We are proud to work with them and support their livelihoods by promoting a fair living-wage.
Our material has Traceable Alpaca certification and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, tested for harmful substances.
FAQ
Baby Alpaca does not involve animal cruelty. The denomination "baby" indicates the fur comes from the first shearing of the animal, when it is around 2-3 years old. Alpacas are carefully sheared at least once a year, right before summertime.
We have been working with the same workshops for +13 years. Knitting artisans, embroidery artisans, textile engineers and development teams. We are proud of working, training and sharing with them, while fairly supporting their livelihoods with the prices proposed to you.
TRAMA is new, but our suppliers, teams and values are not.
For wholesale orders, we centralise our shipping. We deliver one single order per season to each area where our B2B customers are located, allowing us minimise our carbon footprint.
For our retail customers, we privilege the Pre-Order system (in French, "flux-tendu") to optimise each step of our production process and guarantee the quality of each piece.
